I visited Oscar's Very Mexican YEARS back for a breakfast burrito that I remembered being pretty good, but hadn't been back since, despite driving by its West Sacramento and Land Park locations all the time. I went in yesterday evening with excitement to try it out again, as I remembered the breakfast burrito being pretty solid! I got there around 5:30 and aside from one other person there, things were pretty slow. I noticed a menu upon entrance, which was a little hard to read. Some items were taken off, prices were put on with stickers and contradicted other pricing elsewhere, and it seemed like the menu overall was in need of an update. Another thing, the menu wasn't in eyesight of the ca...

My son and I decided to check out this restaurant and originally planned to use the drive-thru, but we noticed a sign indicating that they only accept phone orders. So, we parked and went inside. We ordered three carne asada tacos and a carnitas burrito to take away. While we waited, we found a variety of salsas, pickled jalapeños, limes, and tortilla chips available for us to enjoy. It wasn't long before our food was ready. We grabbed the bag and decided to have a quick bite in the car before heading out. I have to say, they are very generous with the meat—there was plenty spilling out with each bite! The carnitas burrito came with just meat, guacamole, and pico de gallo, so if you want a f...

Now, let's talk about the food. I was advised to try the carne asada fries, and they definitely lived up to the recommendation. The fries were cut relatively thin—not as thin as shoestring fries, but about the same thickness as those from In-N-Out. The portion size is definitely enough for two people, and they topped it generously. The seasoned carne asada was diced into small pieces, adding to the overall flavor. Additionally, they offered a complimentary chips and salsa station, which is always a nice perk. The cashier and kitchen staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience.

I went during lunch and it was a little busy. The gentleman at the counter saw me reading the menu and signaled to me to order when I was ready. I order the Carne Asada Burrito he recommended that I make it super which I did and I 'm glad I did. The meat was tender and the guacamole was delicious, not to mention the burrito was enormous. There were free warm tortilla chips and 5 different salsas, that were tasty. All of this for only $12. This is a hidden gem, defied going to make it back here sooner than later. 19. Carne Asada Breakfast Burrito was delicious. Perfect morning breakfast. It was filling, but not greasy. Definitely would order again. Red salsa had an off flavor to it, luckily the green salsa was standard taqueria fair. I do not understand why the Chips w/ Guacamole were prepared they were. It was chips with splatters of guac. Chips were soggy. Suggest packaging guac in another container. Will not order again.

The drive-thru system requires you to call in your order first and then pick it up, which actually works out great for me because I can look a total mess and still get my Mexican food fix without stepping inside the restaurant. The service has always been excellent; my orders have consistently been ready on time. I’m so happy that Oscar's is nearby—it’s now my go-to spot whenever I crave Mexican food!

I always, and I mean always, go to Oscars on Freeport, but my recent experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered through DoorDash out of desperation while I was at work and ended up spending about $30 on a burrito that arrived cold. The cheese wasn’t even melted, the meat was overly salty, and I ended up wasting half of it. I feel like I just threw away $20. I'm really frustrated.

Oscars has been my go-to FOREVER! The Cali burrito with no pico and add avocado is my fave. I used to work right around the corner and wish I could go more now that I work farther away. Burritos are HUGE for the price. Reserva una mesa ahora

Been here a few times and this place has pretty decent Mexican food but the service can be slow and the staff a little unfriendly. Fish tacos are great and the breakfast plates too!
