Oscar's Very Mexican Food

I visited Oscar's Very Mexican YEARS back for a breakfast burrito that I remembered being pretty good, but hadn't been back since, despite driving by its West Sacramento and Land Park locations all the time. I went in yesterday evening with excitement to try it out again, as I remembered the breakfast burrito being pretty solid! I got there around 5:30 and aside from one other person there, things were pretty slow. I noticed a menu upon entrance, which was a little hard to read. Some items were taken off, prices were put on with stickers and contradicted other pricing elsewhere, and it seemed like the menu overall was in need of an update. When I entered the restaurant, there was two employees, in the front of the restaurant. They never made verbal contact with me. I stood there for several minutes. They never acknowledged my presence. It was as if I wasn't even there. I was the only customer in the restaurant. So they were not busy. A female stood about five feet from me wiping down the counter and a male who was standing a few feet behind her. Neither of them acknowledged that I was there. After standing there for several minutes I left. It was quite obvious that they didn't intend to provide me with service.

I went during lunch and it was a little busy. The gentleman at the counter saw me reading the menu and signaled to me to order when I was ready. I order the Carne Asada Burrito he recommended that I make it super which I did and I 'm glad I did. The meat was tender and the guacamole was delicious, not to mention the burrito was enormous. There were free warm tortilla chips and 5 different salsas, that were tasty. All of this for only $12. This is a hidden gem, defied going to make it back here sooner than later.

Solid place!!! Came with a huge group for an after-soccer party on a Sunday and they took such great care of us. Love the self serve chips and salsa bar! The red is HOT! Verde salsa is flavorful and yummy. Hubby had the carnitas burrito and loved it! I had a taco/enchilada combo and it was REALLY good! Such a delish enchilada sauce! Kiddo stuck with a bean and cheese burrito and was happy as can be! This place is clean, well-staffed, food is major yum and we will be back!

Amazing California Burritos and carne asada fries! Remember to add guacamole and sour cream, and you will obviously pay for it because the faves do not come with those that are a shame because they absolutely necessary California Burrito with the works was $13,50. The self serving hot sauce bar is also great, the bright red sauce is really hot, great if you like, and the dark red sauce is smokey, and they are both delicious.

Oscars has been my go-to FOREVER! The Cali burrito with no pico and add avocado is my fave. I used to work right around the corner and wish I could go more now that I work farther away. Burritos are HUGE for the price.

Been here a few times and this place has pretty decent Mexican food but the service can be slow and the staff a little unfriendly. Fish tacos are great and the breakfast plates too!

My first time at Oscar's. The food was delicious. The portions were huge. I thought the prices were a little high, but changed my mind after tasting it. Very good quality.

i love their tacos ! very big and fit a good price, staff is friendly and usually are slow. food is bomb and flavorful, i would definitely recommend eating inside.

Enjoyed the rolled tacos combo plate (with beans and rice). They have a chips and salsa bar included. With a large fountain soda and tip, my bill was around $15.
