My family and I were in Waldshut for shopping and decided to stop at this restaurant after walking around for a while looking at available places to eat. Our selection of this place was based on the fact that they had outside sitting, served pizzas and pasta (what we were after) and were located close to the exit of the main street. We were seated outside as requested, and the server was cordial when I requested another table, under the large umbrella, as it was threatening to rain. The menu is basic Italian: pizzas, pastas, various meat and fish dishes and typical desserts. The waiter came by and after listening to me struggle with German, switched his speech to English, which I thought was...

Rainy saturday, almost snowing. What better than a glass of wine and a meal? Even more so if the reception is warm hearted. Its my second visit to this "osteria" that actually would classify higher than just that. They offer a wide range of italian food , the usual starters, pasta and even pizza. The pizzas I haven't tasted but they are huge and look very tasty. My suggestion is to go with their specials. Today I did order a European sea bass "in crosta di sale" , which is the whole fish baked covered in a thick crust of coarse sea salt. This way of baking assures that the humidity stays inside and it does not actually salt the fish. A classic. Very good. But what actually surprised me was t...

We come back regularly to the Osteria, as it offers great food and service at very reasonable prices. If the weather is fine, a table outside in the very middle of the city is of course the most logical choice, but we had to eat inside once and we've found the place very clean and modern. Pizzas are among the best ones I've eaten outside Italy, but everything else, from starters to desserts is just perfect. Everytime we've been there the place was full, but most of the times they've been anyway quick, plus they're super friendly and nice. The only reason for us to eat somewhere else in Waldshut is because they have no place :)

After being to Osteria Ars Vivendi for a few times I can confirm the great food we had there the first time wasn't a fluke. Everything we tried was delicious, but I reserve a special spot for the Suppa di Pesce: literally the best fish soup I ever had, with a mix of different kinds of fish and prawn, delicious toast and a creamy consistence it's always a treat. Pizzas are also especially good as is pasta. The service was also great every single time, though I should mention that we always sit upstairs, inside. All in all a great place to eat in the nice historical city center. Reserva una mesa ahora

We are repeat guest at the Osteria which serves the best Food in town. Consistent high quality - and in combination with the Gelatteria below an unbeatable offering when it comes to desserts. Typically, a salad easily feeds two. Their home-made pasta are world class and if you order their vino di casa you get a very decent wine at a very reasonable price. At times, service can be sluggish. And do not forget to book in advance, particularly on weekends.

What a nice place. Located in a pedestrian only area. This Italian Restaurant is a blast. We go there often for Lunch -Dinner. We get a personal feeling with the way we are treated, particularly by the Steaward named Marco. Food is awesome. Our favorite is Tomato Soup and Foccacia when we are not too hungry. When hungry we go for usual Pizza or pasta. We are Veggies still manage stuff to our liking. IF you go there once you will go there again

Only a table left for two persons between 18h and 19h. Therefore or not, a quick information and an even better service. Ordering what the person on next table did choose. Unfortunately a misunderstanding between me and the waiter let the wrong dish appear on the table. But as quickly it has been changed to the right one. Just too delicious a tres di pasta! The open red wine also marvelous. So we did eat and appreciate the evening at his max.

We visited this nice restaurant located at the old city. The food is fresh and very good, service friendly and professional. The portions large and delicious. There is a nice sitting terace outside in a pedestrian area or you can sit at second floor with in a warm and nice ambiance. Great choice of dishes. Higly recommendet.
