Osteria La Riva - Reservar una mesa

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant (only) of Osteria La Riva next to Locarno. View is nice and the nearby street is very calm. The food was between quite average but not bad. The salad sauce was not worthy of notes. The pasta were a tiny bit overcooked and the shrimps were good but super small. Price was a bit less than CHF 50 for two-courses.

Absolutely fantastic fish dish and Locarno/Minusio's best lasagna. Friendly and smiling service and a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. Both indoor and outdoor serving.

Nice smaller restaurant with a wonderful view! We didn't have a reservation and got a table after a short wait. The food was fantastic! We'd love to come back :
