Not often you find exactly what you are looking for. Bed and Bike Tremola is a rare find. We planned an overnight in the vicinity of Airolo to attempt a ride over San Gottardo on our way to Italy. Our only regret is we stayed only one night. Luca, Tania and Ruun are exceptional hosts. And the fully equipped bike workshop came in handy the next morning! I think the review below from John G in 2019 sums up what Luca and staff are doing much better than I can so I copy it below... When we ate a fixed price, multi course lunch earlier this month at Osteria Tremola we felt as if each course came from the heart. This chef creates dishes as a serious act of self expression and his cooking reflects an inner commitment to delicious flavors, amazingly beautiful presentation and celebration of local food resources edible plants of the region and fresh trout from local streams. At the risk of creating expectations which may not be met in the eyes of future diners, allow us to say that this recent meal at Osteria Tremola reminded us of the spirit of Gabriel Axel 's classic Danish film, Babettes gaestebud Babete 's Feast . We felt privileged to be the beneficiaries of such an extraordinary spirit.
We ate at this restaurant on a Saturday night, taking one of the obligatory fixed menu options, and were delighted by the variety, sophistication of taste and delicacy of each course. The presentation was so good that it seemed a pity to break into the food. With the overall high standard of the cuisine, a complementary amuse-bouche, and water and coffee/tea included in the price, the meal afforded excellent value for money. We hope to come again!
Das Restaurant ist eher unscheinbar und hat es in sich. Die Inneneinrichtung ist neu und gut mit der alten Bauweise kombiniert, dies ergibt eine komfortable Atmosphäre. Wir hatten drei Menüs zur Auswahl und alle waren sehr bekömmlich. Der Service war schnell und tadellos. Wir würden dieses Restaurant weiterempfehlen.
