We had a very strange experience this evening. Reservations were made well in advance for 4 at 5pm. Restaurant is small indoors but also offers outdoor seating. I was seated indoors for 5 minutes before the rest of our group arrived. Throughout our meal, most of the tables were empty until 7-7:30. Even then, approximately 3-4 tables remained empty. From the time that our party arrived, our server was at our table literally every 5 minutes although I stated that we hadn't looked at the menus and weren't ready to order. This place is absolutely one of the best restaurants in the Chicago area. It can be noisy, but that is because it's small. It's also top echelon level food, so if you're expecting something cheap, you went to the wrong place. This is incredible level foodand personal level service. Thanks for a great birthday dinner. I'll be back to work my way through the menu.
Undoubtedly one of the most authentic Italian restaurants. We are talking wood fueled fire oven with incredibly deeply marinated herbs garlic and most importantly love from the moment you step. Our waitress, Kayla, was exceptionally accommodating. Felt like we were hanging out in her dining room with one of the best chefs on deck. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere felt very authentic. The restaurant is relatively small which adds to the atmosphere and authenticity feeling for me. My experience was superb, the sides were on par with the main dish. Would like to try more dishes will have to return. A true gem almost hidden away in that little strip mall. Closest to my mother in laws sauce at any restaurant I've been too, and that says a bunch! Osteria Trulli features eclectic decor in a small, cozy setting with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The branzino was tasty, but the calamari and beef short ribs were even more impressive.
