My son works near this restaurant, and although we live 45 minutes away, he really wanted me to try it, so we went for dinner tonight. The owners were incredibly nice, welcoming us warmly. The food was fantastic! We started with mozzarella sticks that were cooked to golden perfection and paired with a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. For my main course, I had chicken in garlic sauce served with perfectly crispy fries. The chicken was incredibly moist and tender, and the garlic sauce was just the right amount—not too strong, not too weak, but perfectly balanced. My friend and I recently relocated to Spotswood and finally had the chance to try this restaurant. It was definitely worth the wait! The food was delicious, and the dessert was simply AMAZING (I can't recall the name, but it was a vanilla cookie crumb creation layered with heavy cream). The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. I noticed that everyone who came in brought a bottle of wine, so I’ll definitely keep that in mind for our next visit. We even took a menu home because we plan on becoming regulars at this place!
The staff was extremely rude. I visited around 4 PM when the place was empty. A man informed me that a group of eight was arriving and provided no further explanation. My sister and I noticed that there was plenty of space, yet he insisted we would have to wait an hour. He wasn't polite about it and failed to clarify why we couldn't be seated. It's strange that a restaurant can't accommodate more than eight guests at once. They could have been more gracious instead of just turning us away. I won’t be returning; it’s truly disappointing.
Exceptional food! Everything is freshly prepared right after you place your order and is cooked to perfection. We tried the roasted cod, which was outstanding, the fried sardines that were absolutely fantastic, and the shrimp in garlic sauce that was simply incredible. The food is fresh and cheap. Portions are big. I always have a dog bag big enough for another meal. The owners are friendly and will answer all your questions how things are made and flavors. Leave space for the desert You will not be disappointed. This place is a local jewel. They are closed on Mondays and serve breakfast Saturday and Sunday. The bacon is smoked on site.
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy some truly authentic dishes. I highly recommend the ribs and chicken—they're my favorites! A few weeks ago, we also tried the bacon, which was absolutely the best I've ever had. As you can tell, I really love this place; the excellent service and delicious food keep my family, friends, and me coming back for more.
The restaurant does not offer delivery at the moment. The delivery company takes a 30% cut from their earnings, which has led to higher prices and was further exacerbated by inflation. As a result, they decided to cancel their delivery service. I won’t be ordering again until the prices decrease.
