I grew up going to Otto's deli in the 70's and 80's. The best roast beef I ever ate along with, in my opinion, the best potato salad on long Island. I moved out of the area and have not been there since they relocated from the original location on Park Avenue about 5 or 6 years ago. Yesterday I stopped by to get a roast beef hero and potato salad to bring home. The place was clean and the workers were friendly but I knew it was not the same Otto’s. The roast beef in the deli window did not look like Otto’s house made roast beef that I remember. Got taken over by the guy who killed a deli in Bellmore, unfortunately looks like it's all downhill. Went in today two people in there, stood there 10 minutes no one helped me, had to leave. Looks like might be the beginning of the end. Not a good old German deli anymore, to be blunt if a man of asian descent takes over a German deli expect it to die.
Otto’s serves the best chicken cutlet hero around. Regardless of your personal preference, they always get the balance of chicken, cheese, sauce, and quality bread just right. Their macaroni salad is also fantastic—simply a perfect recipe.
Excellent just egg ketchup on a great tasting whole wheat roll. I love this place ,they take your order and ask your name and they call you by name and even talk to you by calling by name I think it’s great idea really pleasant atmosphere

Every year, I travel from Michigan to New York, and Otto’s is a must-visit. Their deli sandwiches are the best I've ever had. I highly recommend Otto’s!
Great local deli with everything you need. Really helpful and friendly staff and their home made salads are fresh and tasty.
This place is 5 star all around. Workers are great. Home fries are the best in town or actually in Nassau county.
