I must have gone on a bad day, really struggling to understand all these 5* reviews. Chips, the main event IMHO, were okay, nothing special, not bad, not great. The portion size was tiny. Half what I would expect and get at most other chippys. Maybe it’s different for locals? Other people’s pics seem to show more. Fish was okay taste wise nothing more. Not the biggest portion but not overly stingy like the chips. It was very clean from what I could tell so top marks for that. £6.95 for fish and chips is more than I would pay round my way but perhaps it’s the going rate here in Stockton?
I would not recommend this restaurant. I ordered a large fish and half portion of chips. The fish was overcooked, there was not much fish, and the batter was thin and hard. There were only about 12 chips underneath my fish. I understand they may be busy on Good Friday, but come on Oxbridge Fish Bar, I'm sure you could do better.
The staff at this restaurant are delightful and extremely friendly. Despite feeling a bit overwhelmed by the crowd, the person who took my order was welcoming, made me laugh, and ensured my order was correct.
One of the cleanest food places ever! From the counter to staff amazingly clean! The staff is very friendly, efficient and know their job! The food is great value! If you want trad British check them out!

well made cod was nice, crispy and tasty teig, good size fractions of fish and chips. pleasant and efficient staff. shop has good Kerb attraction and is well designed, Nice area and clean.
In my opinion, this is the best fish shop in the local area. The fish is always fresh and the portion sizes are good. It can get a bit busy at times, but it is definitely worth it.
This is a very nice chippy but the quality has gone down recently. Its still good though, just not as good as it used to be.
