Ate at Oyster Creek Kitchen for our wedding anniversary with some friends (also celebrating their wedding anniversary). Arrived about 15 mins early but no problem in being sat down at our table. Prompt service by our waiter with drinks orders and run through on the “catch of the day”. I have a gluten issue and the menus are all marked appropriately for gluten free so no issues with choosing at all. Visited again following my positive experience last time. This time with the dog in tow. This meant we had to sit outside, and it was a rather grey, miserable evening sadly. With the dog in tow, we hung around by the door for ages. Multiple staff caught our eyes but ignored us. Eventually we were approached and asked if we had booked (the place was almost empty) which we hadn't. They then said we could choose to sit anywhere we wanted outside. We had the choice of every seat as there was nobody outside at the time. We ordered some margaritas and some oysters, which were nice. And some mussels which we shared. Amazing seafood we visited here Saturday early evening. We were early for our booking but this wasn’t a problem for the staff here. We were seated on a. 2 seater table. The place is quaint and quirky with a mixture of original features like Georgian bar windows against gold leaf decoration. Absolutely beautiful interior/exterior. We had 3 courses, I had the OCK Oysters, presented on ice with chilli and ginger vinaigrette was lovely. Hubby had calamari which had a peppery beer battered outside. I ordered the mussels mariniere which were lovely with a tasty broth and samphire, hubby had the Penang seafood curry with coconut rice. Restaurant was recommended by the manager of the restaurant in our hotel as we wanted to eat out one night. We nearly did not go as when we called to book the lady who answered the telephone was quite awkward and tried to put us off going at 8.00 pm saying that the kitchen closes at 8.30. In the end we decided to give it a try and I am pleased we did. The service we received in the restaurant was miles away from the attitude of the lady on the telephone. The staff were pleasant, helpful and had good product knowledge. Product knowledge is of vital importance to me as I have food intolerances and there is nothing worse than being made to feel a nuisance when enquiring about contents of dishes...

Our first time at OCK. Have passed many times and keep saying need to try it one day. Went there for my wifes birthday and the food was really nice. the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Excellent all round. A surprise birthday desert with sparkler appeared before the bill arrived, with the staff giving a happy birthday rendition. Well appreciated. See you again soon OCK
Could be much better, the discounted margaritas on a Friday are not worth it as they come in the tiniest glass with hardly any alcohol in it so don’t be conned ! I’d rather they charge full price and give you a proper cocktail in a proper cocktail glass ! Disappointed really but great surroundings which is a shame and yes food is overpriced too.
hi had a great day down by the beach it was a lovly day, the sun was out , what a great way to spend the day, had some great food, crab, mac and cheese and baby ribs and the wine , bubbles and cocktail were great, service was on form and super friendly. thanks for a great time . we will be back soon
I had a lovely meal here today. I enjoyed Catch of the day, Skate, and I must say I love fish if it’s cooked with thought and flavour and this definitely fitted the bill. Eton Mess to follow and living my best life. My partner was happy with his meal also. Will return for sure

Superb service and food. Driven past many times and mid January thought why not Good choice as restaurant was not full but comfortable. Has surf and turf and the steak was massive ! Definitely recommend and going back soon
The food was delicious and all the staff so friendly. We had a great evening and will definitely return.
