Careful Edmontonians, this could be a shock to your systems. Real Chinese. Novel interpretations with unheard of (for Alberta) spice combos, and ingredients from every part of the animal.I stay at downtown hotels, several of them, but I only eat at one place now. Right here. When I eat Chinese, I like to be only white guy in the place. That says authentic. That's the case here. So why am I treated like the long lost cousin whenever I come in? Because these folks get service. Sure, I'm the only guy in the joint that suffers the embarrassment of being handed a fork (without asking), but I can live with that slight. The Exec Chef, (who always comes out of the kitchen to welcome me back, and makes...

Located in downtown, conveniently on the main level of Comfort Inn, this place will serve breakfast for the hotel guests, and also serves lunch and dinner as well. An average size. Its cleaner than your average Chinese restaurant in Edmonton. Parking is free but limited if there are many hotel guests staying there that night. They have live crabs and lobsters and tilapia so its genuine authentic. As with Chinese cuisine, with many regional influences. This one specializes in Northern Chinese cuisine, a bow to to the young owners region in China. As with most Chinese restaurants in Edmonton, its Cantonese cuisine, which is southern China. So this place is very popular with the mainland Chines...

I was checked into the hotel and standing at the front desk when i witnessed a guest coming from the restaurant and I over heard him saying to the front desk how she just started yelling at him for sitting down for a few min and then decided to eat outside because his friend had called him. She was literally swearing at him and said "get the fu* out of here " who says this to customers I was thinking. After that there was no way in hell I would go eat there. I did here some not so good stuff from there. like the chicken not really being chicken. Just disgusted by the owners attitude.

Since moving to Edmonton, it seemed that a lot of the Chinese restaurants focus on deep fried food and very sweet sauces. The Bird's Nest of Beijing is a restaurant that is a pleasant departure from this type of fare. While there are some spicy dishes, there is enough of a variety of food to meet most palates. Service has always been pleasant and prompt, and the lunch buffet gives diners a chance to experience some menu items different from many of the other Chinese buffets in town. If you are up to experiencing something new, this restaurant is worth the visit. Reserva una mesa ahora

Great authentic Chinese cuisine, great service and good prices. We go here all the time as it's convenient, tasty and economical. I'm quite picky with my Chinese food and find most "Chinese restaurants" downtown cater to Caucasian people. However, this restaurant is actually one of the best Chinese restaurants in Edmonton. The renovations are not as elegant, but the prices are very reasonable so I'm not complaining.

Friends and I had shrimp in peach sauce and chicken chowmein. Food was oily but tasty. Service was bad, server yelled at us and was unable to explain in English so we stopped asking questions. Worse thing was all three of us had stomach upset as soon as we walked out of the restaurant which didn't make any sense and took a day to recover. I love Chinese food but would not go back to this restaurant.

if you are looking for a good and modern Chinese food., this is the place. I was staying at the hotel and tried their food. Its very good and the location and the ambience was also great. The manager Lady was very nice and gave me a discount as well as I was staying in the hotel and the hotel manager Mr. Gary recommended me that place. Great hotel and restaurant.

We grabbed a late supper @10pm and our food was served scalding hot and delicious. The only negative would be the noodles; dried out. Service was fast and super friendly. Going back tomorrow!
