Pacific Catch - Sunset District

Newly remodeled in West Elm Beach House the dining area is light, roomy, and relaxing. The servers were all friendly, and game, but as at many other places during the pandemic the staff and kitchen seemed disorganized. Our appetizer came out with the main course, and none of the servers seemed familiar with the beverage options. My wife had the Fresh Catch salmon plate, which she said was excellent. I ordered a couple of tacos, grilled fish (which was fine, but not more) and guajillo shrimp (which were in a too-sweet sauce), served in thin tortillas that disintegrated before I could finish eating them.

Worst service I have had in a long time. Had to ask our waiter for napkin/silverware rolls after the other staff dropped off our appetizers. Then the waiter took our order and that was the last time he stopped by p ur table. The runners brought our our meals and left. So we didn’t have any condiments (ketchup, malt vinegar, soy sauce, etc. Also, we needed water and other drink refills. Had to flag him down for our check. Brought it to his attention and he said he was busy. He threw down a free app coupon and left.

Unfortunately we wanted to love this place, but it was lackluster at best. The service was not great at all, took almost 20 minutes just to get a water and we were told we had to order food/apps when she brought us water since they were low staffed even though we weren’t ready to order. The gluten free menu is extremely small, and the food was good but not amazing. Outside porch for dogs was a nice area, but the service will probably push us to not return.

They whole staff at Pacific Catch staff were very accommodating in us obtaining a favorable outdoor table. Natalia was a wonderful server. Robert
