Old school Thai kitchen with lots of GF options. Very knowledgeable staff who goes out of their way to prepare and serve a GF dish to someone who needs others to be careful with such things. Their House Fried Rice with chicken is the best GF thai style GF I've found so far in Portland. Sunee's idea of GF taste free. Butterfly Belly is just ok (overrated in my opinion) Pad Thai Kitchens is really great. I was eating with a friend who is not celiac. They tasted. And they thought it was one of the best Thai fried rice dishes that they had ever had. A new weekly regular dinner stop. Oh and they are open late. We wanted to revisit the Pad Thai Kitchen for lunch yesterday with a friend, as it had been many years since we last dined there since we no longer live nearby. It had been about 14 years since our last visit. We enjoyed the lovely weather by sitting outside and each started with a Singha beer. I ordered the veggie stir-fry with tofu, while my partner chose the Pad Sew Woon with mixed vegetables, and our friend opted for the Happy Lemongrass Chicken. The food and drinks were excellent, just as we remembered. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. We're so glad we decided to return. The outdoor seating was comfortable and inviting. I was in Portland on a business trip and ordered here for delivery. I always get nervous ordering off Uber eats because Portland has so many great options and I don't want to waste a meal on subpar food. Luckily, this was not the case! Ordered shrimp cashew stir fry and it was delicious. The veggies were still crispy, tons of cashews and fantastic flavor and totally perfect medium spice. I would recommend this place, especially for take out because so many places have overcooked veggies. This place has it figured out!! Give it a try!
I used to believe that this restaurant served the best pad thai in Portland and was a regular customer. However, the pad thai I ordered recently had a horrible fishy taste from the squid, and while eating the garlic beef, I discovered a plastic foreign object. I had to throw both dishes away. This isn't the first time I've had an issue; I once found a similar plastic object in their pad thai as well. I had hoped to give them another chance, but I'm very disappointed. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food and service were excellent. I can't wait to have their hot Thai tea again! The yellow curry and drunken noodles were flavorful and served in generous portions. For appetizers, we tried the crab puffs and egg rolls, both of which were delicious. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5!
Great food. Ordered several different options, and each was excellent. Two.of the dishes were stir fries with chicken in an oyster sauce, best I've had. Other dishes were with the noodles, also excellent. Not fancy, but excellent friendly service. Were there at lunch time and most of the orders were takeout.Food: 5/5
A favorite Thai spot for 25 years. The food is always fantastic, and the service is consistently great.My partner always gets the yellow curry with chicken, while I have enjoyed many dishes, and would be hard pressed to name just one. Amongst my favorites are panang curry, pad thai woo sen, and tom kha gai.
