Paddock on Crown - Reserva de mesa

We went as it was one of the only places open on New Year's Day - so that was a positive. Service was pretty good although people got their coffees before us even though they order much later. On the coffee, it was burnt and the large seemed pretty small. My coffee also wasn't full. My roast veggie sandwich was tiny and contained one tiny piece of beetroot, one tiny cauliflower, one tiny pumpkin. It was also missing the dressing that it was advertised with. My friends meal was decent (bacon and egg sandwich). They waived the public holiday surcharge after we said something about the meal.

I love Paddock! I really like their coffee and soy milk they use but I particularly like the food because it's yum and very substantial for reasonable price. The owners are great, the courtyard is lovely and relaxed and beautiful on a sunny day. I like going there during the week for a business meeting but also on the weekends for a nice brunch in Surry.

This used to be one of the best cafes for breakfast in surry hills. Recently (2-3) weeks ago they changed the menu. And in my opinion they also must have changed the stock suppliers or chefs or both. My simple breakfast eggs bacon and hashbrown tasted so bad i could not eat it and neither could my boyfriend. We definitely will not come back.

Distinctly average. The menu choices are bland and so is the food. I had the paddock plate. Large serving and came out quick with nice service, but I was underwhelmed by the poached eggs (watery) and the mushrooms (underdone, flavourless) in particular. There are better options around here. I was here last week for dinner, i like the main course 'Cut breast' serves with sweet carrot puree. If you are duck lover, you think you'll like it. Nice atmosphere at night and friendly services. I'll come back again to try out other dishes..

Went for a dinner at Paddock on Crown last night. It was absolutely delicious! We had the smoked trout with risotto and the beef dish. It was the cutest, most romantic atmosphere and service could not have been better. A wonderful evening!

Have been to this place 5 or 6 times now. Consistently lovely and prompt service, amazing quality food, large serving sizes, reasonable price. The avocado on toast is the best I've had in Sydney. Very chilled vibe here too.

Clean place, quick and nice service, 5-7mins wait after ordered food and 2-3 mins for coffee during busy lunch on weekend. Great food, good price and nice coffee. Recommended!

Best coffee on crown st! The service is excellent and the little court yard at the back entrance has the nicest morning sunlight. Dont go anywhere else!
