The Brauhaus was recommended by our son who eats here regularly with friends. The atmosphere was like being in your own local pub. Everyone eating, drinking and catching up. The menu had a good selection and staff were very helpful in recommending a few choices. My husband chose the Wild Boar while I not so brave chose chicken. Both meals looked and tasted great, I even tried a little of the Wild Boar which I have to say was lovely. Really good selection of traditional german food and with some local Paderborn specialities. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well as speaking great English and being knowledgeable about the food they serve.We ate with my parents having both starters and main courses with all of our choices being tasty and fresh. I can recommend the curry soup as well as the nurnburger sausages.The atmosphere is great in a nice looking venue with plenty of outside seating for the warmer months.
We visited with our children and family members and were seated quickly with no problems, the staff are fantastic, nothing too much trouble, my son accidentally broke a glass and I felt terrible but the staff were very good about it. The food was good and the atmosphere was lovely, not quite a five but a very solid 4 - the baked apple rings were the highlight of my meal. We would visit again thanks for a nice afternoon.
3 of us arrived late with no reservation, but the staff made us welcome at the bar and assured us they would get us seated. Had a table within 15 mins and an option of an english menu which was helpful. Starters and mains were all really good, the beer was plentiful and the bill more than reasonable. Would eat here with family and/or friends, and would recommend if in the area.

We wanted to have some traditional German food and we were not disappointed. The schnitzel was very tasty but we found the potatoes and beetroot? a bit heavy. The young waitress who served us spoke very good English and suggested some good ideas. The puddings too were on the stodgy side but we did ask for traditional food and it was a good experience.
I well know the place in summer but also In Spring and winter ! Take this Paderborner potato soup as starter ! I always recommend this one. The schnitzel (Das original ) is also well done and pretty much ok as main course
