Palmenhaus

Some buddy booked a table and we, a group of 8, spent a brief evening there. I ordered a Radler (beer mixed with Fanta) and was being served an Alster instead (beer mixed with 7Up). My baked potatoe was being served with herbed curd when it was being described "with zaziki". My buddy said his weiss beer tasted strange. My Alster was too warm and carbonated too little to be really refreshing. I chose to not order a second drink afterwards. We both felt the food was nothing special, neither in terms of recipe nor in terms of preparation. We left the table after less than 2 hours. A truly average place, not bad, but not good either.

The front entrance is most non descript, but wander through the alleyway and you get quickly into the main restaurant area which is very well appointed.Even better is the beer garden, which in Summer is always apcked out till late.The staff are very friendly and accomodating - Very good hosts, and recognised regulars quickly.The menu is great for dinners (very large menu actually) and the lunch time 3 course menu is pretty damn fine for the priceAnd maybe you just want a beer or two. No problem there either.Time for you to learn a little Greek as well. Yamas!

You eat surrounded by greenery, in a lovely beer-garden kind of setting which keeps most seats sheltered from the sun. The food (Greek) is tasty and plentiful, and I was surprised at how good value it was. The only thing that spoiled the experience were the people chain smoking right next to us, who actually turned out to be the management of the place! If I'd known that sooner, I'd have requested that they stop.

Este restaurante no parece mucho desde la calle, pero su jardín en la espalda es encantadora. Es muy exuberante y verde y facilita la relajación. El servicio es excelente y las opciones de comida son abundantes. Solo toman dinero en efectivo, así que planee por delante ... ¡Antes de que comas allí! Nos sorprendió, pero afortunadamente podríamos raspar suficiente efectivo entre los cuatro de nosotros.

I love Greek food and culture. This place is very authentic. Food is like on Greek Islands. Big portions for small money.
