Palmer's Deli Market West Des Moines

I ordered a chef salad with no cucumbers. She put cucumbers in it, but no tomatoes. I told her she was fine to leave the cucumbers in it, but that I did want tomatoes. She said no tomato . I repeated that I did want tomato and she repeated no tomato again before turning around to put the lid on it as it was to go. Then she handed it to me and walked away to the next person. It was so busy there was no way to get anyone 's attention to fix it. I didn 't even want them to remake it without cucumbers, just also put tomatoes in it. And no, they weren 't out of tomatoes, other people after me had them.Never had an issue with the one downtown in the skywalk, though. Just this one on 50th.

Palmer’s is my favorite but today I had a weird experience. I ordered the deli stack sandwich and the teen girl who was working the sandwich counter seemed to be too busy socializing and rolling her eyes when called over to make the sandwich. She then made my sandwich which was underwhelming. I looked inside of it and she had put the smallest amount of meat in the “Deli Stack” I have ever seen. She also ripped a hole in the bread and just left it as is. I hate complaining about individuals…but she was rude to her coworker when asked to make the sandwich and I felt bad for the guy.

Traveling through town for work, had heard about this place when asking where to eat. Such a cute deli with an array of options. I went around lunchtime it was very busy so order ahead if you 're crunched on time. There are three lines for efficiency (soup, sandwich salad). Their 'box ' value lunch had a lot of food included for $15. I had the market chicken sandwich with a homemade cookie. Excited to come back to try the salads soup. We definitely be on my list when I come into town again!

I've eaten in Palmer's Deli several times, but most of my experiences are doing online ordering and pickup at the West Des Moines and Clive locations. The service at both locations is exceptional. They take great care to get the order correct and to read any extra comments on the order. They have always been on time. I showed up today at 11:07 for an order scheduled for 11:10 and they were just finishing it up. The food is also great. Reserva una mesa ahora

I really enjoy Palmers Deli, but during my last two visits, I encountered a rather unpleasant experience with an older cashier who has a white beard and a red nose. His attitude was incredibly rude, and I found it completely unwarranted. It's made me hesitant to return because I'm concerned about the possibility of having to interact with him again. It's disappointing, as I really love the deli otherwise.

One of my favorite spots! You're sure to find something you love, as there are so many options available. They offer six different soups every day. The salads and sandwiches are always prepared fresh right before your eyes, giving you complete customization.

Great sandwich stop! Great selection of sandwiches, sides and dessert. Super busy during the lunch hour but still received great service. Everything tasted amazing and the brownie was delish!

The sandwiches and salads are consistently delicious. The brownies are absolutely incredible. My ex had to stick to a gluten-free diet, and they were very accommodating without any issues! Reserva una mesa ahora

Love the food, but it's so popular, it's deafening at lunch time. I believe the Ingersoll location is a lot quieter.
