I have recently been to Jerusalem and the ful matches up to any that I had there, and the hummus is pretty close! The knafeh was also great I'm not much of a dessert person but I make an exception when cheese is involved....You can tell that is a traditional restaurant that respects traditional recipes and is not primarily set up to cater to tourists, in both the food and decor, which is always the best when it comes to cuisines like Palestinian. We went here to eat because of the current restrictions in effect in Nottingham, and Neighbour wanted to give me a treat for my birthday Palms Cafe have a number of seats outside under cover (we brought our own blankets with us so this...was fine It is tucked away from the busy street, and is a quiet place to sit and eat. It felt safe to visit, as we sat outside and the member of staff wore a visor. We had a number of starters to share (safely), and I had a fruit tea. Popped in here for lunch after looking around for somewhere to eat. The restaurant itself is a little tired in the decor, but that is more than made up for by the wonderful owner and his partner, and the exquisite, authentic middle Eastern food. My...partner had the vegetarian platter, whilst I had a halloumi and shawarma wrap, alongside a halloumi and olive oil pizza. All the food was absolutely gorgeous, tasted fresh and authentic and was served very quickly after ordering. The staff themselves were very friendly and the entire experience was faultless. Only thing holding it back is the decor, which is a little tired, but that didn't get in the way of our dining experience.

We found this as the sole Arabic food place in Nottingham town centre. My brother I chose : Zaatar and Haloumi Fatayer, Baba Ganoush, Hummus, Fatoush Salad, Falafal with pickles tahini dip, Foul Medames, plus an excellent Kunafa that was very cheesy and...not too sweet, all washed down by perfect mint tea. Jamal, the owner was very friendly and we chatted to him telling him how much we missed living in the Middle East and this type of food how difficult it can be to find in some cities. Well worth a visit. Next to Costa. Opens at 9am on a Saturday. The evening menu looked really good too. Will re-visit when next in Nottingham.
Hands down the best hummus of my life! And the lamb shawarma was incredible. Truly authentic, delicious, inexpensive, and they were happy to let us take our leftover hummus and baba ghanoush away with some flatbread which automatically makes it a 6* out of 5...imo. Recommended it to everyone and will be back asap!

I love this place. eating is delicious and the owners are amazing. I'm still a full sit-down menu here as I usually eat a takeaway at work, but I'll be very soon.

this is a hidden gem right in the city center. we came back twice a day! great for vegetarian and the minze tee is wonderful. really very good value
fantastic eating and service. beautiful falafel and minttee! highly recommended. directly opposite the stage door of the theater and the tram stop.
