My granddaughter who turns eight wanted to have her birthday party in her favorite pizza restaurant Palumbo's. But when my daughter went to make arrangements for this for my granddaughter and a few of her classmates she was told that she couldn't havethe party there because all the children would drive other customers away. As a family we normally eat there about once a weekbut after this incident our family will be taking our business elsewhere. My granddaughter asked me why the owner wouldn't letus have the party there and I told her that's what greed does you'll learn that in life. We as a family will never step foot inthat establishment again. Lesson in life for my granddaughter.
Over the past year, I've been meeting my boyfriend halfway between our homes every Wednesday night, and we finally decided to give Palumbo a try! We both agree it has quickly become our new favorite restaurant. The staff was friendly, and the food was outstanding. My boyfriend even took home half of his eggplant parmesan because the portions were so generous. As a chef, he usually doesn't bring leftovers home, which speaks volumes! I had a fantastic rice ball prepared in a way I’ve never seen before. I also enjoyed a salad and the best escarole and beans soup I've ever tasted—simply delectable! We can't wait to go back soon and try more dishes from the menu.

Our family usually dines there once a week, but after this experience, we’ve decided to take our business elsewhere. When my granddaughter asked why the owner wouldn’t allow the party, I explained that sometimes life has tough lessons to teach. As a family, we will never return to this establishment. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and chicken parmesan, but both dishes were overly salty. I had asked for a crispy crust on the pizza, but it ended up being flimsy. While the flavor was decent, the saltiness was overwhelming. The chicken parmesan wasn’t tenderized properly, making it thick and tough, and the mozzarella was hardly melted. Considering I paid $45 for a pizza and an entrée, I expected the food to be well-prepared. Unfortunately, this meal turned out to be a disappointing experience with poorly cooked dishes that were just too salty.

I enjoyed a uniquely prepared rice ball, along with a fresh salad and the best escarole and bean soup I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious! We’ll be back soon to try more dishes.
My parents went here for their 33rd anniversary dinner in November 2022. They were not treated well after pointing out a $4 ?surcharge? for garlic and oil on their final bill. After waiting 45 minutes for them to fix the receipt and remove that extracharge (an extra charge for ingredients?? , my mother asked again about it and a guy was very, very rude to her. They wouldn?tgive her a copy of the updated bill, and the exact words from the guy to my mother was ?you look like you?re a little nervous.?Give me a break guys.

They don't deliver to Hazlet. Behind home Depot . Once a week for 3 years food was delivered. Typically about a 60 to $70 order $5 to 7$ tip for the delivery driver then One day I called And they said they no longer deliver to my area. Delivery drivers were saying it's too far.smfh. All of a sudden out of nowhere. It's too far. This is before gas prices went up. This was very upsetting. I used to enjoy their food weekly ??.
This is definitely my favorite pizza place in the area. We actually make the drive from Matawan, passing at least six other places just to get here. Their cannolis and garlic knots are amazing too!
