The hash browns were overcooked and brown on the outside, yet almost raw on the inside. It was honestly the worst hash brown experience I've ever had. And $3.80 for a cup of coffee? The cup was no bigger than those tiny juice glasses, probably only holding 6 ounces. You'll need at least 8 to 10 refills just to get your money's worth! It's disheartening to see how the economy is pushing businesses to make these kinds of choices to stay profitable. I know a bar that charges $3.50 for a soda and the same for each refill! I would give this place a pass. We visited with family for the first time, and the experience was disappointing. We had a long wait for our food, which turned out to be overcooked and bland. Both steaks we ordered were like rubber, and my son struggled to eat his. The omelet was subpar, and the coffee was watered down for $4, making everything feel overpriced. When I mentioned the issues to our server, she said, "I'm not the chef," but did take the items off our bill as I requested. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
11/21/23 Update, I was my way to a group class and got hungry, so I swung in to see if I could get something small to go? Ended up with a bagel and cream cheese. The hostess was kind enough to put the cream cheese on my bagel and wrap it to go. Old review: First time here, nice clean place with friendly waitress. Food was outstanding! This would be a place I would take out of town guests to eat. Try the German Pancake or the veggie omelette, well worth the money.
I enjoy visiting this restaurant for a special treat with my sister. My only downside is that the prices seem to be rising rapidly. We ordered the baked pancake, along with some sides, juice, and coffee, and the bill came to around $74 before tip. The food was very tasty and satisfying; however, due to the increasing prices, we find it harder to go there as often as we'd like. Nevertheless, it remains a special occasion when we do visit. The food was delicious, but the prices make it hard to justify returning. My meal—a couple of pieces of French toast, three strips of bacon, a glass of orange juice, and a coffee—totaled $32 before tax. The waitress inquired if we wanted coffee, leading us to think it was complimentary, but we were charged for it. Additionally, the silverware seemed to be over 30 years old.
