While the view and setting were charming, it wasn't enough to make up for the poor food. It genuinely frustrated me, especially since it seemed like they had a monopoly on breakfast options on the island, with everything else closed during our visit. When we arrived, we noticed another customer requesting their omelet be sent back for being undercooked. Pancake Cottage Overall, this is the 2nd worst restaurant I’ve visited on this island, it has subpar service and mediocre food. We waited over 30 minutes to receive our food, which included dry scrambled eggs, burnt pancakes and overcooked fries. Our server visited our table a total of 0 times during those 30 minutes, never offering a refill or even bothering to check in on us. The environment is best described as “trashy”, the other tables around us were full of loud, obnoxious people as we were trying to enjoy our breakfast. they literally tipped themselves $20 when they claimed we had a party of six when we only had 4 orders and 5 people at the table. they lied about the sizes of their food and made them seem smaller which made me not order a few items. i understand the prices being high because they're an island but i thought i was small portions for larger prices as well. the servers also constantly were walking by and obviously trying to/ listening in on our conversations. also my friends said they're food was good but that's the only positive thing that they had to say. just glad i was able to get everything settled before i left.

This place is in a great spot, and that must be the only reason it's busy because the food is sub-par, not cheap and slow to get. Egg whites with some spinach and tomatoes took 40 minutes and came watery and bland. My wife had a bagel and egg whites, also bland and watery. Worst meal I've had since being on the island. They forgot my toast which happens but he didn't come back to the table since taking our order so he didn't know until the meal was over. Food was barely edible. My husband had the pancakes and they tasted like cardboard. I had the chilaquiles and they were so bland and watery. I just ate the avocado and egg off the top. We barely touched our food. Honestly it’s really sad how bad the food in Catalina is. There’s only maybe 3 restaurants with food halfway decent. If we come back, we will be getting an airbnb so we can cook our own food.

Popular spot that can get busy really quick. Wait time for a table of 2 was about 20 minutes. No wait at the bar but is first come first serve. Employees are friendly. We sat at the bar. The seating was a little tight so it's a challenge to get aroundpeople but once you get seated your good. Food took about 10-15 minutes to get. Decent portions for the price. I woulddefinitely frequent this spot.

Very terrible service. Unorganized staff. Don’t waste your time eating here. I don’t leave many bad reviews but this is by far one of the worst places to go eat at, unless you want to wait while give everyone else that came after you a table first.

1st thing you need to do is try the Buffalo Milk (island drink). The steak was prepared well, the omelet was meaty and the pancakes were full of flavor. My only suggestion is to have jam/jelly available. Reserva una mesa ahora

Discrimination against service dogs. Will make you wait for longer than anyone else as you need to sit outside. They only have 2 tables. Wouldn’t recommend them.

Hubby had chicken and waffles. And I had the pancake combo. Yummy. And we didn't have to wait long.
