Being brought up Italian you have come to expect certain things when it comes to Italian cuisine (using the proper ingredients and preparing it properly). As a human who has eaten all of of one's life you also come to expect basic tenets of eating (should be edible). Unfortunately, Pane e Vino did not impress on the Italian side and failed miserably on the basics. The salad should not be swimming in dressing and the pasta should not be so hot as to be dangerous to eat. Pane e Vino a beautiful rustic Italian restaurant on Federal Hill. My husband and I went for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We were received with a smile by our host and immediately taken to our seats (reserved a couple of days prior). The restaurant sat us by the window with roses on the table. Very romantic. Food was excellent; although I wish I could of gone for a more savory dish instead of the sweet duck. My husband dish was great. Highly recommend.
Gluten free menu options! A beautiful restaurant, a little tight in space but it makes up for that with the delicious food and attentive service. The gluten free calamari was amazing and something I hadn't been able to have in years because of my allergy. Very thankful for the fresh gluten free bread provided as well!
The eggplant parm was very mediocre. The service was very good initially, but towards the end it seemed like they were rushing us, even though it was 45 minutes before closing and all the tables around us were unoccupied. The redeeming factor was the bread, otherwise my rating would have been 3/5.

came with friends and waited over 30 minutes for a table that we had reserved days prior. not a single foot of space to stand while we wait either. horrible service and no explanation from staff as to why we’d been waiting for 40 minutes to sit at the table we’d reserved.
We sat outside on a busy Saturday night, it started to sprinkle and our server, Connor, expeditiously moved us inside and got us a table. The timing of the food and drinks were perfect. The tiramisu is the best I ever had! Highly recommend, thank you Connor!
Been meaning to try this place since I work across the street. My coworkers always say how good it is so today I decided to give them a shot! And just WOW! Cant wait to try different things on their menu!
This restaurant is definitely on my top 5 favorite Italian spots in RI. Top tier food and service. Cozy intimate dining. Love everything about this place.

Love this place! The bread was warm and so yummy! The wine and dinner were also on point. I love the lobster ravioli!
Our server, Kathleen, was amazing. The food was amazing. Always a wonderful experience.
