We make it a point to dine at Panera Bread locations whenever we travel, and our most recent visit was to the one at East Brunswick Mall. Unfortunately, this particular location is in dire need of a good cleaning and an update; it’s evident that it has seen better days. Aside from the lack of cleanliness, the food here feels quite different from what we've come to expect at other Panera locations. The portion sizes are quite small, and with the sandwiches, you're lucky if you find filling on just one side, leaving barely a quarter of the bread with meat. The quality at Panera Bread has dropped significantly, and I won’t be going back. I ordered the Mediterranean bowl, which I used to enjoy, but it was only about half the size it once was. It had just a few wilted arugula leaves, mostly rice, a bunch of unripe, flavorless tomatoes, and a few pieces of chicken that tasted awful. After a few bites, I had to throw it away. The chicken broccoli soup tasted like it was reheated from a can. Having lived in the South for a couple of years without Panera, I was excited to eat there again now that I’m back in New Jersey. Sadly, I’m very disappointed and see no reason to return. I feel like I wasted my money, and the bad meal has upset my stomach.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH ONLINE ORDERS!!! ORDER #803484377: I work in a small office, and we often receive complimentary lunches from a sales representative. We decided to have a soup day and placed an order from Panera. Unfortunately, they forgot three containers of the same soup! I attempted to call several times, but the calls kept disconnecting, and no one picked up, not even on the manager's line. I highly recommend avoiding this location—save your money and consider a different place instead.
The customer service is very friendly. Their Sip and Save membership is definitely a great deal, especially if you live or work near a Panera. Plus, their pecan braid is absolutely delicious. I suggested that they make the sugar syrup available for customers to help themselves, and they implemented that change within a week. I really appreciate it! I've upgraded my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

There was an impolite customer behind my sister and me, but the manager, Jessica, managed the situation with remarkable poise. She was incredibly supportive and even offered us an apology, which wasn't required but was genuinely appreciated. I will certainly keep supporting this restaurant!
Panera typically delivers a great experience, but today, unfortunately, the cream cheese was curdled and separated, which was rather unappetizing. Despite the expiration date on the tub being good, we had to throw it away. On a brighter note, their Asiago bagels are absolutely fantastic!
Quick service! After spending a few hours at the mall, this is a fantastic spot to grab a meal with friends. While the sandwich was on the smaller side, the soup was hearty and included two ducks. It wasn't too crowded, and there were plenty of options to choose from.
I ordered the Caesar salad, and it was quite disappointing. The lettuce was wilted, and oddly enough, they covered it in barbecue sauce. I couldn't bring myself to eat it.

I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, but there was barely any chicken in it. This is the first time I've encountered this at a restaurant.
The only problem I encountered was that the apple was spoiled; however, everything else was fantastic.
