I have ordered from Panini Bistro in Matawan twice and have been disappointed on both occasions. The disco fries were terrible; the cheese tasted rubbery and the fries were soggy. The avocado bacon burger was served cold, the bacon tasted like it had been fried three days earlier, and the hamburger patty was practically nonexistent—flat, as thin as paper, and burnt. It claims to be served on a brioche bun, but that’s definitely not what I received. I gave them two chances and was let down both times. The prices are high and the food is awful. I will not be returning.
Not only did the food sound delicious on the menu but it also looked delicious and tasted amazing! We got the mango habanero wings which were spicy but flavorful and the sweet potato and Cajun fries which were both very good, and the Cajun fries had a nice kick! The pastrami Cuban was filled and excellent and the prosciutto chicken panini was also a winner. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even made it work to get a Nutella croissant for dessert which was also very good! Definitely can't want to return!!
Wow! I just had the most incredible experience dining at this restaurant! Our panini was absolutely outstanding, and the truffle fries were to die for. We also ordered the French onion soup based on the recommendation of the manager, Jeff, who was fantastic and took wonderful care of us. The soup was incredibly tasty. Jeff even surprised us with Nutella-filled funnel cake bites, which were hands down the best dessert I've ever had. This is definitely a place you need to visit! You won't regret it!
I also tried their mushroom and Swiss burger, which was quite good. The brioche bun was so soft it practically melted in my mouth. However, I found the eggplant and mozzarella panini to be just okay; I wouldn't order that specific one again as it was a bit bland for my liking. The fries were fine but could be improved.
Overall, I love Panini Bistro for their fantastic bread and salads, and I can't wait to try more of their paninis. I highly recommend Panini Bistro in Matawan!

I gave this place 3 chances and was disappointed every time. First visit was the buffalo chicken wrap. It barely had any chicken on it to where i had to throw away 1/3 of the wrap because it was just tortilla and lettuce. $10 for a skimpy wrap with no sides? Ill pass. Okay, Panini place so maybe a wrap wasnt the right choice. 2nd visit?Cheesesteak Panini. Very little steak on it and the sourdough was badly burnt and completely destroyed the taste and flavor. I was nervous after I had already ordered then later decided to read some reviews saw comments of the food not being substantial as I ordered a breakfast sandwich (with no meat which can be small to begin with), however they must have seen that criticism improved on it because that was not my experience at all! Egg was plenty, fluffy, and cooked to perfection, cheese in every bite, the croissant was fantastic, the perfect amount of everything in the sandwich.
The food here is simply outstanding! Everything is fresh and made with quality ingredients. The restaurant is kept spotless, and the staff is very friendly. I can't wait to return. I tried the bistro pastrami with coleslaw, and it was one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had in town!
I visited Panini Bistro in Matawan for the first time today, and it was a great experience. Our sandwiches were made fresh to order and tasted fantastic. They were generously filled, and the bread was fresh and crunchy. I will definitely return!

Everything here is absolutely delicious! The breakfast sandwich is the best I've ever had, and considering I'm from Jersey, that really says a lot!
