Pann 's is an LA classic... a staple of sorts... many movies filmed here... food was always consistent... staff was pretty cool... Since I 've moved back to LA, I 've been a couple of times... and I always look for Brenda... one of the OGs of Pann 's... Today, we arrived a little before 8 expecting to see the counter full of the old heads who are there bright and early... I was surprised they weren 't open yet... At 8, we were let in and it didn 't feel like Pann 's .... The entire staff is young Latino except for 3 young black people... and an older Latino male... The menu prices have doubled... the food was just ok... they don 't clean the griddle between foods as I had hash browns on my F...
This is quite a while now on spot in Culver City. Some movies have shot some scenes here. And the place has a very nice ambience and it is usually very busy. You may need to wait 15 minutes or so for a table. But it is worth it. There is standard diner fare with a southern flavor. We shared the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potato and that was very tasty. For the kids, there is a meal consisting of chicken tenders and fries, which is more than enough to feed two or three kids below the age of 10, although it is not specifically part of a kids menu. The milkshakes are also very good here. The bathrooms are pretty basic and they have plenty of free parking outside. Our waitress was pleasant...
Before my boyfriend left town, we visited Pann's Restaurant for lunch. We sat at the counter, which I highly recommend. You really can't go wrong with their menu so many classic diner dishes! I chose one of their combo meals, selecting chicken strips and French toast with hash browns. Their chicken strips are one of my favorite foods ever, and if you take any home (as I did! you get to enjoy their deliciousness all over again : Service was consistent and friendly, and the overall ambiance is just straight out of the 1950s the decor, the furniture, all of it. I'll have to come back very soon!
Old school classic restaurant. They have been erasing anything nostalgic in this city but this place here holds on to that classic old time back to the past dining experience. Anyone that comes here from out of town I always take here. It's not too expensive and it is good food. Better than some of the places you'd first think of when you come to L.A. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, chicken and waffles being my go to along with the watermelon cooler. I'm always more than full and satisfied. Reserva una mesa ahora
The wait was long but that's only because it's a small place. I love that they'll send a text when your table is ready. Food was good and at a reasonable price. Waiters were nice as well. Chilaquiles were good, but I prefer going to an authentic Mexican restaurant for that. Horchata was delicious and refreshing. I forgot the name of the plate I got but it's basically loaded hash browns. It was good!
this place is a must when they live or visit la. super simple diner with beautiful mid-cent design and a menu full of all hits. the cookies are great and the turkey sandwich has homemade truthahn, not generic lunch meat. end their meal with a milkshake or other desserts.
