Although it's only a mile or so from where I live and although I'm a great lover of Indian sub Continent food, it was the first time that I had been there, I went with two friends last night (13 Feb). Panshi is situated in a U shaped road that leads to Hinchley Wood Railway Station. The moment we stepped in, we felt that the restaurant gave out a welcoming atmosphere. I counted 11 tables all of which were rapidly filled shortly after our arrival. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. I had my usual (chicken pasanda, tarks dal and a stuffed paratha); my friends ordered lamb biriani, lamb pathia, a keema nan and rice. My partner and I were the only customers during lunchtime in the middle of the week. It had been years since we last visited this area, which was surrounded by shops, so we were pleased to find convenient parking. Every dish we ordered was superb, and the mango lassi was extraordinarily thick. We noticed that the online takeaway menu featured popular dishes like tikka masala, korma, and butter chicken, however, these options were not available on the in-house menu. Nonetheless, the staff were willing to accommodate any requests from the takeaway menu. spent 18 years in the Usa! visited various Indian restaurants. this place brings all of them to shame .second visit in 2 weeks! fantastic authentic food . excellent service and pleasing cheap prices . will go back until my curry is fulfilled. So I'll probably be regular. can't fail anything about the place five stars
The food at this restaurant is excellent. I often get takeout from here and have never been disappointed. Even when I try new restaurants, I always come back here because the food is so good. My first visit to Panshi. The staff were friendly and the food was good. It was easy to park outside. We had the mixed starters which were very nice, followed by the Panshi chicken special which was tasty and a lamb dish (the lamb was a bit chewy) but overall it was a good meal.
We came here with friends last week. It's a very good restaurant with excellent food and friendly, efficient service. We would happily recommend it. Our server, Hassan was friendly and helpful. To all the staff there, (all were good), thank you for a lovely evening out.
