I went for Sunday brunch. I had my dog so we sat outside. There really want any atmosphere, just outside.I ordered beef skillet, it was gross.. the beef had a weird taste. Luckily there wasn't much. But my dog thought it tasted fine. He was never offered water. There was a lot of onions. I hate onions. So I ate the potatoes swimming in I think salsa Verde.My friend ordered a breakfast burrito which she thought lacked flavor. She asked for salsa which didn't help. I did try the chips those were good. The men didn't complain I think they alcohol helped ?
Easily one of the best local restaurants in Los Angeles. This is high quality southwestern-style cuisine, and they have it figured out! I always get the blue corn pancakes. They are the best pancakes I've ever had anywhere. Today I tried the stacked enchiladas with short rib and egg on top, on the recommendation of our waiter, and wow. The meat is tender, the green chili sauce is incredibly flavorful with just a bit of spice, and the corn tortillas have that perfect texture and soft corn flavor. This is a frequent spot for me. Highly recommended.
Came here for dinner tonight. It's been a few months. The food was delicious. I had the mole enchiladas and my spouse had the green chili panxa burger. Tasty! Recommend both.The service could have been better. Our first server disappeared for a while before taking our entry order. A second server ignored me when I asked for help. Funny thing is she became our second server, taking over for the first one. Our tip made our satisfaction level clear.
Beautiful ambiance inside this restaurant. Very friendly staff. I had an item togo, and it was ready and hot upon opening! And I will say, getting food to go is harder to make it look pretty as you would on a plate, however that being said my New Mexican pizza looked beautiful!! My only complaint was the meat was really salty for me, next time I would get chicken! Can 't wait to try it again with chicken and some of the many other items!!!!
This restaurant is located in a terrific old building. Very interesting. There is outdoor dining, as well as variety of settings indoors. Large bar well stocked. Menu offers brunch, lunch and dinner. Many dishes with a Spanish influence. The stacked short rib enchilada, and the roasted chicken and corn waffles with syrup we're all extremely good. Somewhat unusual menu with a good payoff.
Came to Panxa to celebrate my wedding anniversary and man, the service we received was extraordinary! Our server Caprice was so attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were equally amazing and delicious! The food we had was superb! If you haven't been here, you have to visit.
Very cryptic menu. Waitress descriptions not helpful. We could not figure out what to order. So we had a drink and left to go eat somewhere else. Place needs a menu that describes the food in understandable terms. Is good for have a drink but Not for eat. There is better Mexican food other places.
