I ordered food from the Papa John 's in Goldsboro on Royall Ave and when I got home there was a thumb tack in my food. I called the store, but they were unapologetic and said that they would just re-make my food. It is not a matter of remaking the food. It is the fact that there is a serious health violation and they completely ignored it. The person that answered the phone nor the manager offered an apology. I found it by biting into the food. Had I swallowed it, it could have caused damaged and on top of that, I am pregnant. It could have ended up with one of my children as well. As you can see in the picture it is rusty. Why would they even have thumb tacks near the area food is prepared?...
After calling to verify that they had drivers that have Seymour johnson AFB acess, Iordered at 8 pm and by 9:17 I called to inquire about my order and was told they left 10 mins ago, it never came. At 9:54 I called back to ask again. And they said that an uber driver took it. Assuming they didn't have base acess and got some free food, with out so much and a call to meet at the visitor center. The manager said he'd remake the order and make sure one of his store drivers took it this time and it would be there in 30 mins. 40 mins later I'm writing this review and about to go to the store. This is the 2nd time I've paid for delivery plus tip only to have to go to the store and do Carry out.
I’ve only been once since I moved here. And since I caught covid I wanted some pizza from here. And it was horrible and I asked for thin crust but the gave me original. It’s not a very clean looking store to begin with but not many places are around here. My family came in town to help me and wanted to try them and was VERY VERY disappointed.Vegetarian options: They have a new veggie bowl that I have not tried.
The service began poorly but improved by the end of our visit. The presentation and quality of the food were initially disappointing; my pizza had to be remade because it looked so unappetizing, and I was shocked to find a fly inside it when I opened the box! They really need to address the issue with flies; it's unacceptable in this establishment.

The stuffed crust pizza was good, but we couldn't really tell any difference between the Cheesy Calzone Epic Stuffed Crust Pizza and a regular stuffed crust pizza. Perhaps I didn't actually get the new calzone version? On the other hand, the cheese sticks were fantastic—definitely packed with cheese!
What an amazing team! The atmosphere here is harmonious, and you can really see everyone working together. The manager, Leo, was incredibly friendly! Keep up the fantastic work, everyone! I absolutely love the classic large pepperoni pizza—it's my go-to favorite!
My only complaint is that there aren't any in-store specials available. I had to place my order online while I was actually in the restaurant. On a positive note, I appreciated that the staff brought my pizza to me once it was ready.
The restaurant served an old cheese pizza with a sprinkle of pepperoni on top. Unfortunately, the pizza was cold, and the pepperoni was lifeless, lacking any warmth.
