The quality at Papa John's has dropped noticeably, and their customer service leaves much to be desired. I ordered a regular crust pizza with extra sauce and double pepperoni, using their $8.99 carry-out deal for one topping, fully expecting to pay extra for the double pepperoni. However, the pizza arrived dry, overloaded with sauce, and despite being charged for double pepperoni, none was actually added. The crust was unexpectedly thick, almost like stuffed crust, even though I didn’t order that.
When I called to express my dissatisfaction, the representative admitted there had been a mistake due to a new trainee struggling with the crust. But then she urged me to be more understanding and...
I was extremely disappointed and unhappy with this location! The staff was unfriendly when I called to inquire about prices, showing no customer service at all. They claimed they didn’t have change for a $100 bill, even though it was football Sunday and almost everyone orders pizza! To top off the terrible experience, when I got home and opened the box, the garlic sauce container was open and spilled all over, almost out of the box. I will never go back to this location! It doesn't even deserve one star! Oh, and by the way, the cashier mentioned that everyone usually pays with a credit card—Is this a new policy?
When I called to address the mix-up, the woman who answered was quite sarcastic, as if we were to blame for contacting them. She suggested I bring the chicken back so she could pour sauce on it, but there was no apology or attempt to rectify the order—nothing at all. Her dismissive tone only added to my frustration, and despite my annoyance, she kept her smart-aleck demeanor. It would have been easy for her to apologize and offer to make things right!
Since we live nearby, we are seriously thinking about switching to Papa John's.
I ordered two large pizzas, each with olives as the only topping. The pizza was delicious, made with fresh dough, but there were barely any olives—only one to three per slice. It seemed like they spread the same small amount of olives across both pizzas. This could have easily been a five-star review if the topping had been more abundant. On the bright side, the staff were excellent and offered much better service than Domino's. That said, I still prefer Pizza Hut's pan pizza.
