Phylli Cheesesteak Pros: Freshly made. Meat is tender and very juicy. Reasonably priced. Cons: Bread is abnormally large. Bread to ingredients ratio is too low. Most of the time I was just chewing on the bread. If I am looking for protein dinner this place is not it.

Pappy's serves the best Italian beef sandwich and food in Minnesota. I'm originally from Illinois and currently live in Rosemount, MN. I make the drive to Pappy's on Washington Avenue in Minneapolis just for their incredibly tasty Chicago-style cuisine.

Today is June 16th, 2022, and I just left the restaurant less than twenty minutes ago! I can confidently say that they have the best double gyro cheeseburger I have ever tasted in Minnesota! I've eaten at many places, and none compare to Pappy's!
It took a little bit to get the food, but it was fried fresh so can't complain. The seasoning on the catfish was good. The portion sizes are pretty big.
The food is consistently excellent, and I absolutely love the Italian beef sandwiches! I also prefer this location over the one on White Bear Avenue.
Food was great like always. But the parking sucks horribly especially when there's traffic like rush hour... But this is not entirely there fault...

The food was great. It's like a tiny little diner. The cashier and cook were both pleasant.
No cooking after work. Picked up chicken with fries to go. Yummy!
