The food was disappointing and tasteless. The black-bean sauce (Sos Pwa) tasted watered down. For the thickness of the fried plantain, they did not fry it enough so the middle was dry. It was difficult to taste the seasoning of the fried chicken and only the top layer of the chicken was fried. It wasn't fried all the way through. I ended up paying $61, when all I really wanted was two sides of chicken, a side of legume and a small cup of Sos Pwa. They said it had to come with rice or plantain for each chicken/legume dish and that the price wouldn't change if I didn't get the rice. Why you do that?
I recently tried the takeout dinner option at this restaurant and I had a great experience. The price per person ranged between $10-$20 and the food was delicious, earning a solid 4 rating. The service was excellent, receiving a perfect 5 rating, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, earning a 4. I highly recommend trying the Taso Kabrit Fritay and the Fried Pork Platter, as they were both outstanding dishes.
I didn't know there was a Haitian restaurant in Suffolk County until I stumbled upon Paradise. I was thrilled to try it out and I was not disappointed. The food was typical Haitian cuisine and I highly recommend checking it out. There is parking for about 5 cars, but you can also park across the road. The service is for takeout and it's a great spot for lunch.
This is an amazing restaurant! They have a variety of great, delicious food and always fresh. If they don’t have what you want, they will prepare it for you upon request while you wait.
