"Popped in for a generous full English and some whitebait and chips. This isn’t gastropub cuisine but it is generous, hot and tasty. Excellent service, big portions and very reasonably priced."

It would be more customer friendly to have a ‘sticker’ on the menu cards (rather than re-printing the whole set of cards saying that the price of coffee (and perhaps other drinks! has been increased, rather than being told, when going to pay, “that’ll be another £1 please”, having proffered what was thought to be the correct amount. “There is a card on the end of the bar saying that prices have gone up”. Not a very professional way of doing things .

The food at this restaurant is seriously top quality. I visited last year for breakfast and recently returned to try the cod loin, while my wife had the pork belly. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful, generous in portion size, and perfectly cooked. It's clear that everything is homemade, and it made for the best meal we've had in a long time.

The food at this restaurant is excellent - we ordered two full English breakfasts as well as scrambled eggs with toast and bacon. The lattes were also delicious. The service was friendly and we have also enjoyed their lunch menu, particularly the sandwiches.

The food and service were fine, but as a person with a disability, I found it inconvenient that the only entrance had a step and the only restrooms were located up narrow, steep stairs. This was not ideal at all!
