What a lovely surprise. I was traveling dined alone. The patio/courtyard is very small was reserved for a private party. The dining room is small as well, only8 tables. The service was very good the food came out much quicker than expected. I ordered the Shrimp Grits $23). It was delicious! While the dish is small, there was a generous number of large shrimp, lots of spicy sausage! The red peppers onions are a little more than al denté, so they added a nice texture. I saw this place had good reviews, unfortunately we didn’t experience what other’s experience when we visited for brunch. Although our server was attentive, polite and made sure everything was good, we were not impressed with the food. The hood was good but that was it. Our favorite was the crafted doughnuts. It was served warm and fresh. My sim like the breakfast burger but the scone and pancakes were ok. The pancake was served a bit cold and the scones was just ehhhhh.
This may be a small restaurant located on the ground floor of the Linden Row Inn, but it's great! It is independently owned, and not affiliated with the Inn, but it blends seamlessly with the place. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The menu has something for everyone. The bar is stocked well, and offers seasonal mixes. I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. Both the food and staff were wonderful. A special shoutout to Noah and the kitchen team for accommodating my special allergies and still preparing delicious and visually appealing dishes. Despite our eagerness to dig in and taste the food, we managed to take some photos before we devoured it all. This was our first visit to this restaurant, but it certainly won't be our last.

We booked Parterre for my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner and it was amazing. The food and drinks were fantastic, the atmosphere was quaint and perfect for the group of about 30 people. I can’t say enough about Jessica and the team. Jessica made sure that we covered all the details and the team that took care of us that night was superb. Totally recommend.
Brussel sprout entree was crispy, spicy, and way better than expected. Shrimp and grits with andouille sausage was creamy with just the right amount of spice in the sausage to offset the blandness of the grits. Smash burger was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. All portion sizes were perfect and our server Gaby was super attentive.
Brussels sprouts and patio atmosphere were nice. Service was poor. Smash burgers were underwhelming. Arrived an hour before close and we were treated as a burden. Very rushed at the end even though we ate and paid before the restaurant was considered closed.
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. We also enjoyed their sangria and espresso martini. For breakfast, we tried the biscuits and gravy along with the eggs benedict, and were impressed by the flavorful dishes.

Amazing food. Probably the best shrimp and grits I have had in a long time. Loved the spice from the andouille. Flourless chocolate cake was rich and decadent. Would definitely return the next time we're in RVA.
Arrived too late for breakfast. I didn't find any of the lunch options particularly appealing. The cinnamon sugar donuts were good!
