Lovely pub/restaurant with super friendly and welcoming staff. We were given a slightly larger table as an extra friend joined us unexpectedly. The service was exceptional, the Cider was the best there was so much choice on the menu and specials board which was all excellent. We chose Ham Carbonara Garlic Bread, it came served beautifully. As we were eating, it became apparent the pasta was also joined by very lightly cooked white onions loads of them. They were masked by the pasta, so we tried to remove them, we then had half the amount of food but were onion free. Both of us have an intolerance to that amount of Raw onion, (most people would) I’ve eaten all over the world and never heard o...
We were a party of 11 and booked only 24 hours in advance. No problem at all! We needed gluten free options and they provided an excellent selection. The staff were welcoming polite and friendly and the food was great. We all enjoyed it especially the carvery, the pie of the day and the cheesecake. The menu was varied and the location down on the river was lovely, so many birds around including a kingfisher! We thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will become a regular for us whenever we are in the area. Thank you for a great time.
We have had an evening meal here and all 4 of us had something different so we had a good selection of the various food items on offer from the dinner menu. From Curry to fish dishes all the food was excellent and good value for money. We also had the Sunday lunchtime carvery and this was super. The decor in the Inn has been improved after many years of looking tired and dated. So good to see the upgrade. Only minor complaint no moules as a special at present. My wife had the mussels in pasta which she thoroughly enjoyed.
A beautiful hot sunny day when we popped to The Passage for an early dinner. It was packed there due to the weather and great river views. We both had Fish n Chips which were huge and beautifully cooked as always. The staff were busy due to the number of people there, but they were always smiling and cheerful and regularly checked if everything was okay. Couldn’t have a nicer Pub family on our doorstep. This is a great pub with friendly staff and service. Unfortunately our lunch was poor for the price. The fish pie was tiny and a bit over cooked. Masses of batter on a small piece of fish. The chips were gorgeous. Ciabatta toastie stingily filled and way overpriced. It’s a shame as Topsham has some great places to eat and we felt let down by our food yesterday.
Just had Lunch at the Passage and it was very good Fish pie was superb Fish Finger Sandwich got a thumbs up from my husband .Burger looked very good Nephew was very happy . Service was excellent the lovely girl had only been there two weeks who served us well done sorry should have taken her name. It’s also Dog Friendly.
We were recommended to try here and were so pleased we did. The place of Topsham is a beautiful village a 20 minute drive from Exeter. We sat outside overlooking the estuary and had an excellent lunch. Get there early if u want to sit outside and have a chance to try the mussels !
Found this pub by chance whilst down in Devon on holiday, best meal we’ve had all week. Superb freshly cooked food, excellent choice with a good variety. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely return if we were in the area again. Reserva una mesa ahora
