The sign says cash only but now for 4 they will take a credit card payment. The potato pancakes are huge and thick and not the small thin favorable ones. They are sold 1 each or 1 order of 3 each. Not something I plan to order again. They make their own knishes in a large muffin cup size enough to cut up to 2 to 4 slices. Looks can be deceiving. It appears a little run down and from 30something years ago. So everything inside is in need of an upgrade but this isn't why you go there. This is a typical blue collar meat sandwich lunch break type place. They are renowned for the hot pastrami. It is amazing. Go for the food and the friendly face behind the counter, he's a nice guy
They have a combo corned beef and pastrami with cole slaw and thousand island dressing called the 'East Meadow ' that is the greatest deli sandwich around. We have ordered that sandwich for years and when there are 4 adults eating and all 4 want the same sandwich you know it must be a keeper. Their homemade knishes cant be missed.
