There’s lot’s of choice for dining for a small town in Barjac but recently there has been a flurry of openings on the charming cobblestoned alley leading up from the Tourist office into the historic centre and whilst the rest have outdoor seating on the lane (as does Patio 39) I was enticed by some cool mellow music to investigate their patio at the back. It’s a wonderful space, definitely shady enough to ward of the intense heat and sun of French summer for lunch and the mismatched antique chairs whilst still very french added a boho edge. Stopped for lunch in Barjac. Found our normal restaurant was closed so we tried this one. What a great find! Sat in their funky little courtyard enjoying a cool breeze and had only some tapas and an appetizer for lunch. It was hot and did not want nothing too heavy. All were very good. You often hear comments of the rudeness of French waitstaff because unlike America, they do not act like your new BFF to get a bigger tip. Instead they are professional. The waiters here are happy, smiling, joking, but not in the obnoxious BFF way. Just FYI this is a typical French non-pretentious restaurant. Tout était parfait, les plats sont copieux et bien présentés, et en plus ils sont excellents. Tous les ingrédients étaient frais et choisis avec soin. Le service était rapide et impeccable avec une serveuse très sympathique. Le menu entrée-plat est à 20€ et vous en aurez largement pour votre argent. N'hésitez pas à vous y rendre ! C'est avec toute son expérience de paysan cuisinier que le chef a repris cet établissement de Barjac. Il y propose une cuisine fine et variée, avec des produits essentiellement locaux et écologiques, dans un menu 6 services qui reste une (très bonne) surprise. Reserva una mesa ahora

Had a lovely diner during a very busy time of the year for Barjac, The Brocante! The owners were very accomodating and we had a lovely diner. Higly recomend.

We are accustomed to the place and have never been disappointed! Quality service, cooked meal with good product. I highly recommend this address!
