This patisserie does some very fabulous, interestingly-decorated confections, ice cream gateaux and also good, basic fruit tarts. The individual portion patisseries are generally great but tackle one of the smaller, nougat creme-based items towards the right hand side of the cabinet only if you're in need of a serious sugar rush. The eclairs and "mille feuilles" (like a vanilla slice but with added French chic) are particularly good. They sell beautiful (and pricey) chocolates including seasonal items at Easter and Christmas, and the local Limoux speciality - nougat. The bread is very good and it's the only place in town that still makes croissants with 100% butter rather than succumbing to the temptation of chucking a bit of cheap oil into the mix.We visit often ... possibly too often!.

We buy all our cakes from Pujola and have ordered several celebration cakes from them over the years, specifically their wonderful pièce montée or croquembouche for special birthdays. They also do a wonderful selection of chocolates and little aperitif biscuits, including pebradous, the speciality of Limoux. No trip to Limoux is complete without a visit.

This patisserie has been in Limoux for a long long time which is a good sign. It is famous for his cakes and his nougat. Try the Eclairs! there are incredible and really reasonably priced for the quality. The nougat is delicious and is made with only fresh ingredients and the old fashioned way. It is always a pleasure to stop at the Patisserie!

I have been ordering pièces montées from Pujola for several years and this year I ordered a croquembouche for my brother's wedding. Although they did not offer salted caramel as a standard filling, they were happy to provide it. The patisserie was beautifully decorated when I picked it up and was, as the French say, 'aussi bon que beau'.
