I feel dumb, but worthwhile to mention to warn other customers. The menu was not descriptive whatsoever. We only got an idea of the pizza toppings when we looked at the optional toppings were. We didnt want olives on our 10" Greek DEEP so we selected every option BUT olives under that menu. Guess what, we only got olives on our pizza LOL. menu was not the most clear, but we could have used some context clues to realize that we just made our least favorite pizza.
I'm a native Chicago and love my deep plate pizza. I tried many places in the SF Bay Area. Paxti's is the best Chicago pizza outside Chicago. I've been a fan for many years. I live near the Paxti's in Hayes Valley SF, then worked near Palo Alto. I was so excited when I found out there was one in San Carlos, near me again! Last night I had the delivery from the San Carlos site (opening day) and it was excellent!
Deep dish pizza made fresh. Worth the wait. Great outside seating for people watching or just to enjoy the weather or some sports on the TV. Good non-alcoholic drink selection. Waiter was personable, helpful and attentive. Great location and you havethe opportunity to walk your food off, or walk to dessert in the neighborhood. I don't normally eat crust, but I'm glad I did...Had a great flavor.
We tried the butter chicken deep dish pizza. Really great taste! I was full in just 1-1.5 slices as its pretty heavy but worth it! The staff is friendly. We went in covid times so it was comparatively empty but I have been here before covid and always crowded. I don't usually eat pizza, but when I do, Patxi's is at the top of my list. Their deep-dish Chicago pizza is freshly made by hand and truly authentic. It's my favorite!
Dear Patxis. Friendly people, good food. Yummy meatballs with hot bread!! Once a week visitors.
The pizza is so thick that every bite feels like biting into a loaf of bread.
