on our second day in marseille we found this magical place where we had breakfast every day for our 5 days stay! Even we thought we had breakfast in the hotel, eating at paul’s was so good that we could not stop from coming back. we had dr. baggets and the sweets. everything is very good and it is worth trying! a must in marseille. french caffe! and even the waitress didn't speak much English, she went the extra mile to understand us!
Today I went to eat a good sandwich at Paul's.For once it rained, we took a table inside. Our table in the corner was under a few baskets of wicker hung on the wall.They were black with dirt, even a remnant of spider canvas on the wall a small "electric" cupboard that was really dirty too.All this cut me appetite. Too bad because the sandwiches are very good. but is that they are manipulated in such a doubtful place? !!!!

I come very often, I live not far. The bread is delicious, the cakes too. they offer formulas at noon (at any time in fact). open 365 days a year. I showed up on May 1st at 6:30 in the morning. They were open. I was surprised! young and friendly staff. I strongly recommend.
a classic paul but with a sunny terrace we always find the same thing, with sandwiches at noon and medium-prepared patisserie breads are not extraordinary...But it has a pleasant terrace just next to the bar the delibes.
Always beautiful house and products are of quality. Possibility to sit on the terrace for a coffee or a lunch. A little waiting at the classic time of affluence, but it's more of a quality gage, right?
