I ordered shrimp and fries along with 2 sides of potato salad. Firstly, the customer service was horrible. The woman at the front desk that takes orders was very rude and standoffish as if I was bothering her. I handed her my money and she snatched it, I asked her how long would my food take and she literally shrugged her shoulders and said idk. Then on top of everything, it wasn’t even a good amount of food. I won’t be going back again. I’m not sure what happened in these last few years but they fell off bad !
RUDE LADY The woman at the register has such a nasty attitude and if you ask around/read reviews you will see she has been a problem. It’s not cute, and when trying to support this business her personality makes it really hard. Unfortunately for them, I was going to consider getting food catered but solely based off of her rudeness, I will not.
The owner was very nice the first time me and my mother visited when first moving to Hackensack and the food was great however the people he hires are very rude and incompetent and who every is his cook now makes the food tasteless and nasty.
Today was my first day there and the service was great and the food was amazing. I live in Albany so to come home and eat was worth it. Thank you and I will be coming back again.

Always a great experience. The staffbis friendly, the food is always hot and fresh, the deserts and moist and delicious. I look forward to ordering again.
Food is trash. Catfish was beige. Rice and beans was tasteless and colorless. Yams and sweet potato pie were disgusting
I have eaten here many times. The food is always fresh, tasty and the portions are always great! Highly recommend.
