I will always come to this restaurant as long as it's open. I have been a patron of this establishment for years, despite its name changes. The current owner is doing an excellent job. The staff is always friendly, the home-cooked food is delicious, and the carryout service is great. Thanks to DoorDash, there is never a wait. The food is high quality, the portions are generous, and the owner has invested a lot in updating the restaurant over the years. What I appreciate most is seeing the owner personally expediting food orders. It's rare to see an owner so hands-on these days, and I will continue to support this business for that reason. First of all; AMAZING COFFEE!!! tastes like the coffee from the Palazzo Grande that’s on van dyke! I think Cadillac coffee? Whatever it is… it is DELICIOUS and they leave a thermos of it for u on the table so you don’t need to bother anyone for cup number 2,3,4… then it’s empty lol… the steak bites were also cooked to the right temperature which is very rare (no pun intended) at a diner like this! the red light in the pictures is because we were next to the window that looks at their covered seating section outside… very much temperature controlled and needed … place was BUSY for good reason! Good prices and wonderful food!
This family-friendly restaurant offers a cute and enjoyable experience. The senior staff member may sometimes forget where to deliver drink orders, adding a charming touch to the dining experience. However, they do not offer Dr. Pepper, and the Coke served was mostly fizz with only a hint of syrup.
The food is excellent and the portion sizes are generous. However, I felt rushed by our server, which was disappointing. It seemed as though they don't want this to be a space for neighbors to socialize.

Enjoyed the experience... not all the gimmicks... no tvs... just good food and quiet conversation.
The fried pickles (5) and Philly cheese steak wrap with fries were very delicious.
