Great bar, always busy with a good vibe. They have live music on most if not every night. The Gunness is good and it's great craic. This bar seems to be extremely popular with tourists and locals alike. The lice music is mostly Irish traditional and it can be overly packed with people, but that is part of its character. You will find the bar to be very friendly as are the local people of derry. The bar joins onto a second bar called the Grwwdore bar. This also has lots of live music, but doesn't seem to be as popular as players. I would recommend a visit to this bar if you are staying in derry. Its a must see! It also has some unusual decor and is very welcoming.

My wife I were in Peodar’s a few years ago, we were staying up the street, were in Peodar’s several times! I warmly recommend this superb pub, and I am now back in frozen Minnesota and I wish that I was back there, with a pint and listening to music!

Great live music, great atmosphere, great staff, great drinks and great time. Derry really rocks on weekends. Very recommend to learn Pub when you visit Derry.

Like many pubs in Ireland, they were not serving food at 6:00 pm. We left. We have found it discouraging to be unable to get food early in the evening.
