First appearance seems like the restaurant is closed, due to the darkness and quirky front door! Inside is a different story, it's bright and relaxing. The food is very traditional southern Chinese food. Pearl Dragon is not just a normal Chinese restaurant, it a Dim Sum restaurant during lunch time. This gives out lot's of stars in my book. Next that add lots of Star's is the pricing of the product, which seems to be at a fairly price! due to the energy price and the location of the seafront. Overall the food quality is very good and out standing service. If it's your first time visiting Southend and fancy a Chinese. This is the place to have dim sum. only if you don't mind paying around 20...
Went for my birthday on Saturday 25th June as a party of 6. I was the only one who had been here before, by the end of the night everyone was saying when can we come back? The food is delicious and the staff are friendly, attentive and professional. I don 't think I can properly put Into words how amazing the food is! Everything is spectacular and everyone in the party was amazed by how good it all was!!
eat delicious, friendly service and very fast. I made a picture because I ate it so nicely. good value and very recommened, please relax with the Covid restrictions, although now and show them their eating hygine evaluation in the window. eat one of the best Chinese ive cost
as always dragon pearl was excellent today february 2022. eating always tastes street in front of all other Chinese restaurants that they might consider. they are not cheap, but medium price. I feel sure they use high-quality ingredients and products and it shows!

Both the dine in and the takeaway are 1st class. We've tried quite a few restaurants and takeaways over the last 29 years in Southend and we find this the best. Lunchtime it's always half full with people of Chinese origin so that speaks for the quality I think.
