Arrived in Batemans Bay on NYears Day. All restaurants were shut, apart from the Fish and Chip shop. Was very pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the food. Better than the UK version. No frills, but tasty. A great view to accompany the food, too.Not sure why other reviewers would be ordering burgers in a great fish shop !
Staff are rushed and a tad patronising, but the fish, chips and salads are fresh and tasty, served in a cardboard box. Free instant coffee included in 'deal'. Not supposed to bring wine along. Right over the water. Choose fresh fish fillets as that is what the place exists for. Never saw savs or scallops.
This place offers some lovely views of the open sea waters and of course some splendid seafood as well. There is a wide variety on offer including the usual sandwiches, burgers and chips - a joint very close by to the Youth Hostel in case you are staying there
Went there yesterday and got a takeaway seafood basket. Certainly not the best i have had. Nor the worst. Very friendly service and it was nice to wait out the front overlooking the water while the food was being cooked. Reserva una mesa ahora
Horrible. Dry. Bland. Yuck. Don't bother. Ordered a battered sav, scallops and a coffee. Took 15 mins. Coffee burnt my mouth. Battered sav was dry and bland. And the scallops tasted old and carboardy.
Not a gourmet restaurant, but it does what it says on the box. It serves good fish and chips. Sitting outside is great if the weather is fine, otherwise it a fish and chip shop!
Not value for money and the hamburger I had was horrible. I thought it was overpriced for what it is. Service leaves a lot to be desired. It's not as busy as it used to be.
