Pellegrino's Pizza

I wanted to like it as the people working there are nice but wow this is the worst pizza I’ve had in a long time. The garlic knot is very obviously garlic powder soaked in some canola oil. Tastes like soggy bread. The pizza is all cheese with no hint of a sauce on one slice the other is way too much sauce and the sauce tastes like ragu pizza sauce. Very sweet but very cheap tasting. Hard to pinpoint but it’s not good. Dough is uneven on each slice so not properly kneaded. This is impressively bad as not one thing is right, I feel bad for the owner as he’s a nice guy but this is horrible pizza. I’d genuinely prefer dominos. The garlic knot was a sin by itself as well. The pizza at this place is decent, but it doesn't stand out in any way—pretty bland and typical. Unfortunately, the garlic knots are even worse; they lack flavor and aren't fluffy or tasty at all. On a positive note, I really enjoy their grandma pizza; it has a nice spicy kick and is significantly better than most of their other pizza options. The staff is friendly, but the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Prices are reasonable, and my experience was with takeout service.

The staff welcomed me warmly as soon as I entered, which was a nice touch. The baked ziti slice I ordered was absolutely delicious, and the portions were quite generous as well. Given the current economy, I often find that I'm paying more for less, but that wasn't the case here! I stumbled upon this place while I was in the area, and I'm definitely planning to return. Food borne illness from carrot cake bought thursday 12-5. 71 yrs old..cake at 8 pm..sick..violently from 1 am Friday till noon sunday. Baaaad. Shame because they make a good pizza. I can't trust them ever again Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

The pizza was decent, but it took over an hour and a half to arrive. I might have been able to overlook the wait since I was initially informed it would take about an hour, but unfortunately, the pizza was cold when it finally got here.
