I don't live in Penhill, but I travel to get Fish Chips from Penhill Chippy I think there best Fish Chips in Swindon, the owners may not be from this Country but they do know how to cook a good Fish Chips, somebody said on your reviews greasy total rubbish I've been going there for a long time minds never been greasy they have improved on their batter staff always pleasant, maybe the Chinese chippies ought to go there to learn to do decedent Fish Chips thank you Penhill Chippie a satisfied customer

Usually served by the lovely Chinese lady, who gives free chocolate bars to my daughter. The man is less gregarious. Haddock takes about ten minutes. Worth waiting. Local paper or The Sun to read. We live in London but are always pleased to visit my mother-in-law in Lancing, because there are no fish and chips as good as this anywhere in London.

I don't recommend this. There are much better chip shops around the corner like Mr chips. I got a large chips and took them 5 minutes to prepare and they were all soggy. Went back the next week and ordered a small chips and cheese and onion pasty. Chips were soggy like last time and pasty was microwaved. DO NOT GO HERE

The fish was tasty and the batter was nice and light, but it was all just so greasy. The scampi looked to have been processed to within an inch of its life as well. It's a shame, because you'd think these things could be fixed pretty easily. If they are I'd be glad to come back. Reserva una mesa ahora

Stopped here on Easter Monday, our last night of camping around the corner. No food cooked but they were open and we waited for our freshly cooked f+c. Tasted great and was good value too.

The family has always used this plaice for years. Cod knows this serves the best and would not know if we Haddock go somewhere else, who could match them for quality and service.

Thank you, we are always served with a smile, and our little girl loves collecting the food with me. Lovely chips, pasties, mushy peas and cod.

Around £8 for large cod and substantial portion of chips. Always cooked fresh. Served by a lovely, hardworking lady. Fab

We visit my sister and husband regularly from Devon and they always ensure we have fish and chips . It’s always good .
