Who said you have to go the China town or the big boys for great Chinese! We have been dining at Peninsula Court for many years and the flavors and freshness are fantastic. service is familiar and friendly a great place for families and friends. Even celebrities dine at PC so it has their tick of approval. Standout is Salt and Pepper Scampi, best I have had anywhere. BYO is a bonus and we take a good Champagne for the Scampi, heaven on earth! Try it, you will not be disappointed.
A friend of mine Husband is ill and I was on the list to deliver takeaway Chinese to the family but I was caught up in meetings. So, I called Peninsula court after another Chinese restaurant in Hunters Hill wouldn't deliver to the Riverview area (just next suburb). Peninsula court was excellent and delivered the food to my friend's family even though it was outside of their delivery area. I was very grateful and I was told the food was excellent.
It's a good local old traditional style Chinese restaurant. You sit nicely in boots and the restaurant is carpeted, not so noisy. We had the old favorites like Mongolian lamb, sweet and sour pork, salt n pepper calamari, a nice glass of wine and the boys beer. Finished off with banana fritters and ice cream. The service was also good.
I have enjoyed lots of meals at this restaurant, both eat in & takeaway, over the last few years. The food is always delicious & whilst prices are at the higher end of the scale you get what you pay for. The pork ribs in plum sauce is a fave & the spring rolls are yummo! I have been so lucky to enjoy this amazing resteraunt for half of my life and continued after the staff took over from the original owner. William and his staff do a fantastic job and always make you feel welcome. The food is also famtastic especially the salt and pepper scampi.
We ordered takeaway food from this restaurant and were quite surprised at the high cost and the small portions of food. Every dish seemed to be full of baby corn so you really did not get the favors of the meat or seafood dishes given the over whelming taste of baby corn!! :-(
The food here is fabulous, easily as good as most of the restaurants in Chinatown. The ambience and service is good local restaurant standard, but the food is simply superb.
