Penn Station East Coast Subs

I would give this restaurant negative stars if I could. The fries were incredibly small, about the size of my pinky, and they were very greasy. The person preparing the fries and wrapping the sandwiches wasn't wearing gloves and claimed his manager said it wasn't necessary. The sandwiches we received were missing the items we had requested. Overall, it was a terrible experience. The guy handling the fries should be fired, along with the manager who allows such practices. The service was slow, and the food lacked flavor. I will never eat at this restaurant again.

I ordered a large classic Italian sandwich, but a third of it was just bread with Italian dressing—no meat or toppings. I paid $36 for two subs and some chips, which feels overpriced for what I received. It seems like the more you pay, the less you get. On a positive note, the service was good with takeout. For dinner, I spent about $10–20 per person. I would rate the food a 3, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.

Be aware that their French fryer was out of service when we placed our order. There was no offer of a complimentary ChocoChip cookie or free bags of chips. Penn Station should recognize that one of the reasons customers prefer them over Subway or Jimmy John's is the enjoyment of their freshly cut French fries. Food: 4, Service: 2, Atmosphere: 4.
