As soon as you walk through the door, you will feel like you have been transported to Germany. The restaurant's decor and food are incredibly authentic. Whenever I visit Peoria, I make sure to stop here without fail. While everything on the menu is delicious, I usually always go for the Jaegerschnitzel with sauerkraut and spaetzle, although sometimes I choose mashed potatoes instead of the spaetzle. The staff is friendly and provides prompt service. If you are unfamiliar with German cuisine, they are knowledgeable and can help guide your choices. You go through the door and you will swear that you are in Germany. It is very authentic in its decor as well as the food. This is a must for me every trip to Peoria. While the whole food is excellent, I almost always get the Jaegerschnitzel with Sauerkraut and Spaetzle, although I sometimes opted for potatoes instead of the sparrow. Staff are very friendly and prompt in their service. If you happen to be unfamiliar with German foods, they are quite knowledgeable and will guide you in the right direction. Great atmosphere and real German food! The walls have vintage posters, stained glass pieces and a whole wall with brass panels of winners in the World Beer Tour. They even decorated for Christmas with some warm, multi-colored lights that really are located in the atmosphere as opposed to it. Also the order from the counter after looking at your menu is a small thing that might add unintentionally to the warmth and comfort of experience. I had some sausages that were delicious, along with the sour wort. I would recommend the German potato salad as a page if you got a sandwich.
The restaurant has an excellent atmosphere and serves authentic German cuisine. The walls are adorned with vintage posters, stained glass pieces, and numerous brass plates commemorating winners of the World Beer Tour. The festive Christmas decorations, including warm, multi-colored lights, enhance the ambiance rather than detract from it. Ordering at the counter adds to the cozy experience. I enjoyed the delicious sausages and sauerkraut, and would recommend trying the German Potato Salad as a side with a sandwich.
I recently went for a late-night meal with my family and we had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, with a very pleasant and fast waitress. I particularly enjoyed the selection of German beers on tap and in bottles. I will definitely be returning if I find myself in Peoria again, as there are still many more beers for me to try!
Stopping in for dinner while in Peoria for work and was pleasently surprised! The staff was very nice and prompt. A great beer selection. The food was excellent. If you are interested in trying authentic German food or are familiar with it, then this place will not disappoint! I will definitely return next time I stop in Peoria!
For late dinner with family and enjoyed beers, service and food. The waitress was very good, pleasant and fast. I love German beer and the tap and bottle selection was very satisfied. I will return when I myself in Peoria for certain, as there are many more taps to try!
