Rubbish! First they said no beef left, at and they only opened at So we ordered roast chicken and roast gammon. Then they said there were no roast potatoes left. At this point I’d have got up and walked out but...my better half said, its ok, we’ll have the mash. I hate mash. I love my roast potatoes on a Sunday. Then.....they found some beef so it was back on again. Well, the beef was like shoe leather and everything else was tasteless. So, I decided to have a desert to take the taste away. A small but adequate eatery with good home cooked food for a reasonable price. The diner is clean and tidy with a small bar area, at least tables inside and x tables outside. The Large Breakfast, eggs, bacon rashers, tinned tomatoes, black pudding, hash brown, mushrooms, baked beans and a slice of toast), Chicken Fillet Burger (it was a proper chicken breast burger, moist and tasty) with chips and a salad dressing, Homemade Shepherds Pie and peas, Lemon Fanta, glasses of wine
Great food and drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great atmosphere, in a small, family run, café bar. Need to book for Sunday lunch and some evening meals, due to limited space, but worth the effort.
