Then again, I had just gotten done with a five-hour car-ride and was pretty hungry so you know everything tasted 10Xs better. This Japan-oriented eatery has locations in California, Nevada, and Texas. Self-proclaimed as, The original Japanese DIY teppan, it 's a quick and easy way to enjoy Japanese teppan at an affordable price. I ordered the Kimchi Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese. It would be more of a 3.5. The portion is REALLY small, especially if you look at the meat to rice ratio. For that size, it's not that cheap either. The taste though is pretty good. I would come back and try adding different toppings, but at the same time it does kind of seem like the kind of food you could easily make at home. However, they weirdly do not have their amenities sorted out nicely. The napkins are not out, nor are they individual napkins. They're the brown paper towels you have to rip off ??? I didn't really care, because this isn't exactly a fine dining place. I would come again if someone else suggested it, but I'm not sure if I'd come back otherwise.
This place was okay. The service could have been a lot better since 1. The waitress served our miso soup with their thumb sticking inside the soup as they served it to us. 2. I asked for an extra bowl and there was still a grain of rice on it so I'm not sure if they washed it ?? 3. They forgot our appetizers so we had to take them to go since we were already done with our main meal LOL. I think the kimchi chicken was a bit salty as well
I visited this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I decided to try the beef pepper lunch, which was delicious although a bit on the salty side. I personally enjoyed the salty flavor, but it may not be suitable for those with salt restrictions. The dish was very flavorful overall, especially the sweet sauce which I found so tasty that I wanted to bring some home.

The last time I ate at Pepper Lunch was a few years ago in the Philippines. Yesterday, we were at Shanghai Plaza at Spring Mountain Road and we decided to check out this location. I had the Beef Pepper Rice and it was good. We also ordered the Single Meat Sizzling Curry (Shrimp) and their Cream Teppan Pasta. My husband and I both agree that we'll be back again for sure.
All I can say is I'M ADDICTED!! I absolutely love this place!! The jumbo beef is sooo tender! W/ the rice, corn spices with the sauces too... I can't... it's sooo GOOD!! You have to try it! They also have a curry chicken Salmon pepper rice, yummy! Definitely will be back multiple times!
Food is good, but super small portions on meat. Ordered salmon, it was small and thin. After you add extra sides and drink, it?s almost $30, sweet potato wedges are good, except the cuts are very uneven.
Menu was a bit confusing. It's was a bit late in the evening and there were dirty tables, and the interior is a bit worn. Food was hot but not really flavorful. Don't think I'll ever come back.

The food was delicious and there were plenty of great options to choose from! My husband even said it tasted just like the food he had when he was in Japan.
